Our Wedding

Sara Savoie and Andrew Viada’s love story began in the most unexpected way, during Spanish class, when Andrew asked Sara to be his salsa dancing partner. What started as a simple classroom pairing quickly turned into something more. Their first official date at Scarlet Scoop lasted for hours as they talked and laughed, and by their second date, Andrew knew how he felt. On the beach at Dauphin Island, he asked Sara to be his girlfriend, marking the start of their relationship as they headed into the summer before senior year. From that moment on, they were inseparable, continuing to grow together while dating throughout college.After graduation, their journey led them to Houston, Texas, where they moved together in the summer of 2023 and began building a life side by side along with their two fur babies, Nami and Yuki. Along the way, they shared countless adventures, including many meaningful trips, especially to Utila Bay Islands, Honduras, the island Sara’s family calls home. Knowing how special that place is to her, Andrew chose it as the setting for the next chapter of their story. On Water Cay in Utila on May 22, 2025, he asked Sara to be his wife, and she said yes. They are so excited to celebrate their engagement with family and friends. They would be honored to have you join them in New Orleans on December 19, 2026 as they begin their forever together.

We invite our guests to dress in formal evening attire. Ladies are asked to wear floor length long gowns in dark, elegant colors. Gentlemen may wear tuxedos or black suits with formal accessories. Kindly refrain from wearing white, winter white, or bright red.

The hotel has two entrances, one on Baronne Street and one on Roosevelt Way. Valet parking is only available from the Roosevelt Way entrance. Fulton Street is a pedestrian-only street mall featuring a few shops, bars, eateries, and a really cool bowling alley. At Christmas, it’s decorated with a lovely outdoor light display and—wait for it—faux snow!
